Brake Motor

Brake motor, also known as electromagnetic power loss brake motor and brake induction motor, is a fully enclosed, self fan cooling, squirrel cage type induction motor with DC electromagnet brake.

Brake motor is divided into DC brake motor and AC brake motor. The DC brake motor needs to be installed with rectifier. The rectified voltage is 99v, 170V or 90-108v. Because the DC brake motor needs to pass through the rectified voltage, the fastest braking time is about 0.6 seconds. Because the AC brake motor has a direct 380V voltage, it does not need rectification, and the braking time can be completed in 0.2 seconds. The DC brake motor has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, fast heating and easy to burn the motor. AC brake motor has complex structure, high cost, obvious braking effect and durability. It is an ideal power for automatic control. However, the braking part (i.e. brake) of DC brake motor and AC brake motor can not be connected with variable frequency voltage, and additional wiring is required for synchronous control.

The brake motor has high-precision positioning requirements. As a brake motor, it should have the characteristics of rapid braking, accurate positioning, safety and reliability, interchangeable braking system, simple structure, simple replacement and maintenance, etc. Many factories need brake motors to control motor inertia, achieve the required accurate positioning, and realize the automatic operation of machinery. Such as: lifting machinery, ceramic printing machinery, coating machinery, leather machinery, etc. Brake motors are widely used in various fields of mechanical equipment.
